Indiana Rocker

Bob built this chair in a class at American Sycamore Woodworking in Cloverdale, Indiana.

This unique, solid maple rocking chair is handcrafted from an award winning design. The chair was handmade by Bob Alcock of Lost River Woodworking.

It is sealed with three coats of a custom blend of oil, polyurethane, and shellac. The finished product is topped off with a high quality paste wax.

This is not only a fine piece of furniture; it is a beautiful work of art. It is truly an heirloom piece. The design will bring years of enjoyment and comfort for generations.

Each customer must be measured before construction of a rocking chair begins. The "fitting" chair helps to develop a unique profile of the seated body.

Every comfort related element can be adjusted in the fitting chair: height, depth and width of the seat, position of the back supports, height and width of the arm rests, and even the orientation of a head rest.

Reflecting that unique profile, the finished product fits the customer exactly
